At times I find a theme running through my photography, what I’m drawn to capture and how I capture the subject. Over the past month it has definitely been pine. As the year came to a close and a new one opened, I noticed this pattern emerging so I researched the meaning and symbolism of pine or evergreens. The one that struck me was, “Hope in adversity.”
So I’m approaching the year with a reminder through these images of the everlasting light that shines through to illuminate the way and provides optimistic vision despite any potential hindrances. Embracing the now with gratitude and hope ahead.

I am part of a group of photographers, Share Six, who blog 6 images on the 6th of each month with unique monthly themes. Next up is the talented and creative Lynne of Lynne Grant Photography. Liz I love you take on this theme. Hope though Adversity is just a positive way to look at things. I love the light, the bokeh, the lensbaby effect. This is so beautiful.
